About BUME:

Bristol University Madrigal Ensemble is a 16-strong choir of auditioned singers from the University of Bristol, who perform unaccompanied part-song from across the ages, from Renaissance madrigals and polyphonic Masses to contemporary art song and jazz arrangements. Many members of the choir also perform with prestigious groups such as The National Youth Choir of Great Britain, Bristol Cathedral Choir and Clifton Cathedral Choir among many others.

The Ensemble is currently under the direction of Alice Chapman. This promises to be an extremely exciting year for the choir, building upon the legacy of our magnificent 40th anniversary concert, performances in Gloucester and Wells cathedrals respectively, as well as our annual tour to Cornwall. Check back here throughout the year for concert information!
